This morning we had breakfast and then headed to Down Town Silver Spring for our very first cooking class! It was held at a restaurant called AG Kitchen and today we were preparing broccoli tater tots! Finn and I were super excited!
I got to go run around the farmer's market with Daddy. First up, a nice, juicy apple!
We started by decorating our very own chef's hats! and we got to meet some new friends. They were super nice and their names were Alpha and Sayid. They were going to cook with us too!
Mama said that Kai and Finn looked like real life chef's! I wanted to look like a chef too so I decorated my very own chef's hat too!
The Chef explained the recipe to us and gave us our ingredients. Then we had to follow the directions because no recipe can be successful if you don't follow the directions! We got to chop our broccoli, add our onions, cheese, bread crumbs, egg. We were doing a really great job!
Mama and I went for another little walk outside. We got some kettle corn and then watched a juggler. Then I had some pastrami samples. Mmmm, they were deelish!
We made sure to mix up all our ingredients so all of the flavors were incorporated! We were doing a great job! The Chef even said so!
Meanwhile, I ate my second super large apple from the farmer's market of the day...
Daddy really helped us out. He made sure our mixture was all mixed up and he helped us form our tater tots into shapes so they could be cooked. We were so excited to get all of our tater tots made.
Meanwhile, I hid behind a curtain while my brothers cooked...
And Mama wore my chef's hat. She's funny!
The time finally arrived to taste our creations!! And boy were they GOOD!! They were broccoli-ish, and cheesy and so, so yummy! We really enjoyed them!
We give AG Kitchen cooking school a thumbs up!! We can't wait to come back and do it again!
Then we were all hungry so we stuck around and had brunch at AG Kitchen. It was super yummy!
Then it was time for my soccer game! It was a gorgeous fall day outside! Sunny, warm, bright. But boy did my team suffer. We were all just a little slugish today. And boy did it show on the field. We lost big today. I hope we have a good practice on Friday to get ready for next week's game!
When we got home we discovered that we had been Boo'd!! We can't wait to boo someone else!
THEN...it was time for the Woodmoor Octoberfest! We had brat's and hot dogs and treats and Mama and Daddy got to have beer for the very first time at a Woodmoor Octoberfest! We saw lots of friends from all of our classes - from St. Luke's to St. Bernadette's! There were really cool bands and a bounce house and BUBBLES!!! It was so much fun and an awesome way to spend the afternoon!
When we got home Jax and I wanted to take a bath to play with our Octonauts toys. We were having so much fun in the bath...
Then Kai came in and he was playing with us and pulling on the shower curtain and then...HE FELL IN. AND THE CURTAIN ROD FELL IN. AND THE SHOWER CURTAIN FELL IN! We thought it was hilarious!!! Kai was soaking wet!!!! HAHAHA.
