Today was a very special day! In the morning Mama and some other parents met at my classroom to go on our field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium with us!! We were so excited!
We got to ride on a school bus! Bernadette was my partner...oh Bernadette!
We took a group shot with my class and then Ms. Bugge's class joined us too but we don't have a picture of that. We just wanted to get inside and have some fun!
We had fun exploring! One of the first things we saw was the GIANT shark's mouth. It looked like we were inside of it!
Then of course we got to check out the big coral reef with the sharks and huge stingrays and a GIANT turtle. The divers were feeding him lettuce! It was really neat to see.
Then we got to touch horseshoe crabs and stingrays. And we even got to touch jelly fish! It was so cool and interesting!
There were so many cool exhibits to see! This one looked like a sunken ship. There were so many beautifully colorful fish and eel and snakes and anemone and starfish and octopus and all kinds of sea life!
Even alligators!! Yikes. I love the aquarium!!
We even got to see some divers feeding the fish in the giant tanks!
And of course we visited Shark Alley! They sure are huge and so scary!
These fish were in the Australian exhibit and they're called Archer fish. We got to see them being fed. This man holds crickets on a stick and the Archer fish spit water at the crickets knocking them into the water and then eat them. It was SO cool to watch!
Then we headed down to the jelly fish exhibit. These beautiful glass jelly fish were in the hall on the way down. But the real jelly fish were so pretty and interesting to look at. They come in all shapes and sizes. I sure am glad we couldn't touch them. I bet those tentacles really hurt!
Then it was time to check out the dolphin! They are so cute and it was really neat to see them underwater. That sure was a deep tank they're in!
Then it was time to check out a dolphin training session. Did you know that the oldest dolphin at the aquarium is 44 years old!!! She's as old as Daddy! The youngest is 9. They did some jumps and got some people wet by splashing them. I'm glad we didn't get wet! It was really neat to see. It was a most excellent day and a wonderful field trip!
Today Daddy picked me up from school and we had a great day! He took me to McDonald's for lunch. Then we went to North Four Corners Park to have a picnic. And then I got to play and play! It was a beautiful day.
Then I decided to do a sprint around the whole park! I might have to join the cross country team when I start at St. B's! I'm a really good runner!
While everyone was off having adventures today I just had a regular old day at school...boring!
But later we got to go to the Stained Glass Pub to celebrate Uncle William's Birthday! We met up with family and friends and had a great time.
Papi even took us to 7-11 to get Slurpee's and scratch off tickets!
It sure was a fun night. We had to get home though because we were all exhausted. Including Mama!
